FAQs on Dynamic Diagnostic Assessment (DDA)™

Dynamic Diagnostic Assessment (DDA™) is likened to a personal health check-up in that it is child-centric and based on our exclusive non-categorical and interdisciplinary methodology.

It uses reliable tools (i.e. a composite of expert observation, criterion-referenced formal assessments and critical expert analysis) to identify a child’s strengths and weaknesses that inadvertently affect learning performance.

Unlike psychological assessments, Bridge Learning DDA™ does not pigeonhole or stigmatize learners with any shortcomings. Our dynamic diagnostic screening can be used widely for children of any profile to ascertain learning areas in need and monitor the progress of learning development.

To assess on your child’s targeted learning needs, strengths and abilities and if there is a gap in their abilities with their developmental milestones, we are then able to recommend the programmes that are suitable for your child.

No, it is not a series of quizzes to assess on their intellectual ability only.

Our DDA™ comprises of a series of stress-free and enjoyable activities and games with the Diagnostician.

The child undergoing a DDA™ will be assessed on a range of learning skills appropriate to his/her profile. Such skills are reading age, comprehension age, receptive and expressive language, auditory and visual processing, fine and gross motor skills, attention span etc.

No, we do not label the child or pigeonhole a child under a diagnostic label. We may suspect if your child has any learning difficulties and Learning Disabilities (LDs).

Yes, as our DDA™ is a comprehensive assessment that assesses on the different developmental milestones. Additionally, we do not know what is being assessed in the other assessment.

With the results from the DDA™, we can best recommend which programme(s) is/are suitable for your child. For Bridge IEI™, the programme will be tailor-made to your child’s needs.

We would recommend that your child comes for the assessment from 2 years old so as to give them more time to develop in the different areas and some children may be late boomers.

Furthermore, we will be able to assess more activities when they are older.

No written report will be given. However, a very detailed consultation will be given.

Only for school/hospital referral cases, you may request for a report. But this report is not a psychological report and you cannot use it for exemption from exams or ask for extended hours.
The good news is it will not be considered for the purchase of insurance for your child.
